POTW me up

As with all of my Monday morning posts, it's phrase of the week time! This phrase isn't one of mine, I'm afraid. I may have got it from the Mighty Horseman (in fact I'm pretty sure I have), but obviously it's been adapted from I'm assuming the big pile of geekiness that is Star Trek!

This week's phrase of the week is:
[object] me up

I think my most frequent encounter with this phrase is while we're making lunch and I get told things like "cheese me up" (i.e. please could you put some cheese in my sandwich), but it seems pretty adaptable to more or less anything. While you all ponder the many uses of this week's phrase, I think I'll go coffee myself up! Have fun!

i cooked for my mate Lucy tonight, and asked if she wanted a bowl or a plate. She said 'bowl me up!', and i didn't even tell her about phrase of the week! It was genius!!! i nearly did the whole excited toddler clapping thing...

Overexcited toddler clapping is always a worthwhile response to things like that, although it's best used when deciding to buy mighty bars in Asda!
